Idaho Falls Base Jumpers...

When we were heading out of Idaho Falls bright and early Wes spotted 6 base jumpers getting ready to go.  We pulled over and watched the crazies jump.

The World's First Nuclear Reactor...

Another surprise on our trip was driving across the Idaho National Laboratory complex.  When we were about halfway through, in the middle of no where there were signs for a museum.  We decided what the heck let's check it out.  And once again it was great.

Grand Teton National Park...

I'm going to sound like a real dummy here but I did not realize that Grand Teton and Yellowstone are attached.  We were so busy that after we planned our big driving vacation I didn't do any follow-up research or even looked at a map.  I just decided to be surprised. And was I ever.

Yellowstone...

Yet another day I thought I might freeze to death.  We stayed in a tent this night of our trip outside of West Yellowstone.  They had fresh snow in the mountains and frost in the morning.  It was cold!  Although we were only there for a short time it was neat so see and we'd like to eventually go back.

Fishing in Glacier...

We bought a couple of cheap poles on our trip and decided to give fishing a try.  We had a good time even if we didn't even get a nibble.

Many Glacier Streams...

The girls and I spent a lot of afternoons playing in the streams and hiking around Many Glacier.

Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump...

On the same day that we visited Waterton, we also visited Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump in Fort Macleod, AB.  It is a World Heritage Site, which means it is in the company of Stonehenge, the Egyptian Pyramids and the Taj Mahal.   Wes and I were like what?!?  We have to go see this place with the awesome name.  And it did not disappoint.  The museum is amazing and we were impressed with all of the exhibits.

Waterton...

We finally got the chance to check out Waterton Lakes National Park. It is the Canadian part of Glacier.  We all enjoyed our morning spent up there.
