Tiny Ray Of Sunshine...

Sophie has been begging for Popsicles. I finally gave in this afternoon. She and Ceci enjoyed them on our back steps. They got cold though and had to move to the sun.
These are pictures of Ceci playing with two pieces of Tupperware. She sat on our chair and played like that for a half hour this afternoon. Our kids are not always normal.

Stand-Off...

over what I'm not sure. We are in a constant state of power play or one-ups. I have a feeling it will always be that way.
Sophie got her hair cut this afternoon. She really needed it, she looked like Thing 1 from "Cat In The Hat". Luckily our friend Jen is an amazing hair girl and can handle a 3 year-old with energy to burn. Thanks Jen!!!

Redneck Mop...

We don't need no fancy Roomba floor robot to clean our floors. We have Starbuck and she's just grateful to have a job.

Snow Again, Seriously?...

We woke up to a light dusting of snow. It is still snowing but the temp is fairly warm and the roads are just wet. I'm hoping this is winter's hurray.

Fa A Long, Long Way to Run...

As I was getting ready to post these pictures I noticed the laundry in the background. Usually I try to not post pictures that make my house look messy, (obviously I don't worry about how the kids look to much) but these are to good to skip.

We went to Target last night and on our way through Sophie spotted these microphones. She of course grabbed one for herself and being the nice big sister she is gave one to Ceci too. They (I am not exaggerating) "sang" throughout Target at the top of their lungs. I'm don't usually get embarrassed by the girls anymore generally just frustrated but last night they made me blush. I was powerless to make them stop. Between the spit and the screaming I had to buy the microphones. One lady actually told Sophie that her rendition on the ABC's needed a little work. Another told me to write this down to tell this story at their High School Graduation.

We Like Pink & Chocolate...

We have two girly-girls on our hands. They would hang-out wearing their Princesses dresses and eating Bon Bons all day if we let them. Wes and I are not into the whole Princess scene and make them play with blocks, trucks and other manly things.

Big Girls...

Ceci is a big girl now. We bought her big girl runners yesterday and today she wore a dress-up skirt. Now if only she could talk...

Yesterday was Uncle Chris's birthday. Sophie had a great time playing with Peyton. They only had a few minor scuffles enjoying each other for the most part. Isn't Bella cute?

Rain, Rain Go Away...

Ceci watched the rain for quite a while yesterday. We wish we were going to Hawaii on Thursday.

What's The Magic Word?...

Sophie says, " Open the door please, I'm freezing." I'm thinking Duh, that's why Mommy is inside. By the way I let her in without making them beg.

I love having a fenced yard. The girls played outside without me for a solid 5 minutes of heaven.

Shhhh Daddy's Sleeping...

Poor Wes is on the nasty graveyard shift. It is a bit challenging trying to keep the monkeys quiet while he tries to sleep.

Starbuck's New Home...

We've played outside quite a bit this last week. One thing that has made a real difference for us is that Wes built Starbuck a kennel. No more land mines in the yard is a beautiful thing. He's not completely finished with the kennel but it is already making things a bit easier on us.

Ceci Hates Bath...

Ceci does not like to take a bath (still). This has been going on awhile and certainly makes my job harder. Not much else I can say about this. Isn't the picture of her hair funny? She looks like a red-headed devil. She is without a doubt my child. Sophia however continues to enjoy every minute of her bath and I usually drag her out looking like a California raisin.

Happy Valentine's Day...

Wes has the day off so we started the day out with a special breakfast and some time with our Valentines! We hope you are all having a great day with your loved ones!

Yeah Dad!...

Thanks Dad for the Chukar Cherry Chocolate!!! I was hanging around playing with sidewalk chalk this afternoon when the UPS guy pulled up. I thought he had the wrong address (or maybe Wes was going to come through for me this year) when he said, "These must be for you?" I was pretty excited. I didn't share them with anyone. I did call Kim to brag that I got chocolate from Dad but she burst my bubble because she got a box also.

PS Sophie was really great in ballet class today and got the requiste sucker. Ok, she did lock herself in the bathroom and couldn't get out but thats a story for another time.

The Great Outdoors...

We love to be outside. There is nothing better than hanging out with our neighbors and enjoying the fresh air. I am totally looking forward to summer. I'm also excited that Ceci can finally play and enjoy being one of the kids. Last year she just hung out on my hip and watched the festivities. One thing that is funny is that she can already ride a tricycle and Sophia has never figured it out. Sophie is trying to ride her two-wheeler with training wheels of course.

Just a little plug for my new favorite beer. I haven't finished a beer in years. But I discovered this one at the Shell station and bought because of where it was from. We actually ate at the Kona Brewing Company when we were in Hawaii with our friends Ben and Heather a hundred years ago. So if you should see some pick it up. Its only out until March 1st.

Show Down At The OK Corral...

I had the opportunity tonight to photograph Wes and Ceci having a tussle over dinner. Ceci has been feeling her oats and testing the terrible 2's. Wes was in the mood to go toe to toe with her tonight over dinner. Sophie and I just watched and laughed at them. I'm really not all that sure who won.
