Ending 2006 in a Fever...

Well...Tracy is out...she finally caught the monster cold from the kids and I’ve been asked to fill in. Ceci is feeling about the same as Tracy, a little fever and all stuffed up. Sophi is getting better but had to get back into the act (of being sick). Even Starbuck had to look pitiful for the camera. I’m better but I think it is still going to be an early night, even for the New Year. It’s unfortunate that we have to finish off 2006 like this but we have high hopes for 2007. We hope everyone had a great year and wish all of you the best for 2007! Happy New Year from all of us!

Playing Around...

I've been practicing with the new camera this morning. I can't really tell the difference but Wes swears we are in a whole new world.

Both of the girls crack me up when they drink out of their sippy cups. They both hold them up so they can see out of one eye while they are drinking. They are also pretty talented when they fall. They never drop the juice. Future Cougs?

I Love TLC...

So we are watching "What Not To Wear Tonight" and its me on there. Yikes...she's really scary. OK, I like to think not that bad (hopefully). Seriously though its a great show and a good time killer on a Friday night while you are waiting for your pictures to load. If the girls would let me I think I could watch TLC all day starting with "A Wedding Story" going to "A Baby Story" and so on...

By the way, Santa Claws brough Starbuck a Gentle Leader Harness and a gift certificate to obediance class. Ok, maybe those were for me. We did buy Starbuck a couple of new beds today at Costco. As you can tell the girls had to try them out first. They are kind of neat and make her smell like cedar. By the way, I've been trying to get a good picture of Starbuck all night but she just looks like devil dog in all of the pictures.

Sick, Sick, Sick...

Ceci is still pretty darn sick. Sophie claims that she feels fine but her eyes are red-rimmed and she is as pale as Ceci. Poor babies. Wes came home early from work today because as we all know no ones ever gets it as bad as he does. He swears it mutates by the time he gets it. If anyone cares I'm feeling pretty decent. I'm really hoping this is gone by Sunday.

A Few of Our Favorite Things...

Here are a few of our favorite gifts. Sophie enjoyed her new wooden blocks this morning. Both Sophie and Ceci love their cheesy music boxes. By far a huge favorite. And I love my new sock monkey slippers.

On a different note; poor Ceci had been battling a nasty fever this afternoon. It keeps going away and coming back. I'm hoping it breaks for good soon otherwise a decent nights sleep may not happen. We've been so lucky with our kids not getting sick very often. Nothing is worse than a lethargic 18 month old.

And More Christmas...

We spent Christmas morning with Auntie Kimmie and Uncle Colby. Christmas Dinner was with Wes's side of the family. The four cousins are turning into a rowdy bunch with Sophia being the rowdiest by far. This is the first year that the girls really started to understand Christmas and what it all meant. It was fun to say the least. But I have to admit that the first thing that we did today was take the tree down and 75% of the decorations. I'm always happy to start tiding up and getting back to normal.

Christmas Pics...

Christmas morning was great. Sophie was excited to see that Santa ate the chocolate bar and drank the milk. They are excited the most about the big doll house and their jewelry/music boxes. I am most excited to have lots of new toys to play with.

Lil' Bit Excited...

Do I even need to write anything?

Note: Wes helped Sophia put together Santa's cookies and milk. This year Wes decided that Santa needed a Milky Way. But, he did still help her do the carrots for the reindeer.

This is Kim blogging...just wanted everyone to know that Tracy has a pile of presents under the tree. Looks like they might make it another year.

Its the Little Things...

Sophia peeled an orange all by herself tonight. I haven't been that over the top excited in awhile. I know that this seems pretty silly but each time that she does something by herself I feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Just think if Sophie can peel an orange by herself it won't be long before she can tie her own shoes and then it will stop taking us an hour and a half to leave the house anymore which will lead to other bigger and better things. Its a big leap I understand, but it is like visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.

Play-Doh...

The girls love play-doh. I think thats how you spell it. They made dinner and cookies for me tonight while I made Christmas cookies.

Bowling...

The first picture is for Popi tonight. Sophie found a gun at the bowling alley and had to see if she could try it out. Yikes...

Our friend Maeva had her fourth birthday tonight. I can't believe how fast the time goes by. It is always a great party. This year was at a local bowling alley. We had so much fun watching the kids bowl. I didn't know that they would put bumpers up for the little ones. It worked perfectly.

The girls also decided to ham it up a bit after their bath this morning. You really can't tell how little Ceci is by looking at her. She actually was in the 25% for her weight at her most recent check-up. I think it is her head that makes her look like a giant. Her head size was in the 90%. We think she is so cute!

More E'burg Christmas...

Sophia and Ceci took turns playing Santa and handing out the presents. They really had fun with the presents and paper. I'm getting so excited for Christmas morning and to see their faces when they see Santa has really come. Santa tracked down Sophia's teddy bear as she requested. I think that we are all done with our shopping completely and finally... except for Wes. He still has a few things to pick-up (for me hopefully).

Home Again...

We made to Ellensburg and back this weekend. The pass was great. My Mom and Dad's new house is amazing. We are so happy for them and happy to get to see it finally. We have a huge day today to get ready for more Christmas this weekend. I will write more later. Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it home.

Big Day...

We had a huge day today. We started off early to visit with Santa at the mall. Sophia loved him and talked his ear off. She didn't want to leave. The funniest thing was that she forgot to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. Sophia was seriously bummed that she forgot. Ceci as you can tell wasn't all that excited to sit on his lap.

We also went on the Santa Train tonight. It is the oddest, most fascinating thing ever. The picture of the red truck gives you a little idea of what the train ride was all about. The girls thought that it was the coolest thing ever to ride on the train. It is a little train with cars that drives on tracks through the woods that are full of lights and lots of odd things.
