It Grew Here!...
Run Of The House...
This is the latest edition of what goes on while Sophie is at school.
She's got a little Fancy Nancy in her.She enjoys her tea out of the tea set. Notice she is pouring it herself.
Dad doesn't even care that she is on the coffee table.Ceci spent a large portion of the afternoon playing with puzzles. Even though she enjoys her alone time she still misses Sophie during the day.

We Hike During The Day...
Natalie doesn't believe that Gia ever screams. But Lori does!
I looked everywhere for Wilson.
Natalie and I took her kids and my monsters on a hike to a new park this afternoon. Luckily when I called Natalie and told her that I was going to eat my children she wasn't to busy to intervene. An adventure soon took place after that fateful phone call. We found this great hut on the beach. It had two rooms and a barely used crack pipe. We were ready to move in. It was good to wear the feisty-ness out of my children. I loved them again by the time we got back to the car. We Hike At Night...

Last night we did our first Daisy activity. It was awesome, it was hardcore! We went on a night hike with a bunch of other Girl and Boy Scouts from our county. I had the truly genius idea (hear the sarcasm?) of taking our whole family on this little hike. After ten minutes Gia was over it. Wes spent the next twenty trying to console her. Finally he ditched our group and ran back to the car with her. Did I mention the hike was 2.6 miles? In the dark? And it was fun!
I want to make sure that I state for the Daisy record that Sophie, Ceci and I had a really good time. We had so much fun that went for a hike the next afternoon. I was impressed that the big girls could do it. There was no whining they were thrilled to be there and so was I.

Yesterday Sucked...

From the beginning there was absolutely no hope that yesterday would be a good day. Sophie woke in tears and a fever of 103. She was a mess.
We promptly sent her to the sofa with a blanket and some Tylenol. Our second child claimed a terribly sore throat. In hindsight clearly a play on my emotions. Both children's teachers were called and movies were immediately begun.
We watched this movie twice. Sophie then began to complain of a sore body. I quickly brought out my trusty flashlight. Red spots were noted and reinforcements were called home.
Wes took Sophie to the doctor. I stayed home with the Queen and a very sullen number Two.
When the sick one arrived home it was with medication. Strep throat had been confirmed. We then watched Monsters Vs Aliens for a second time.
On a weird side note; I've had strep throat when Sophie was 5 months and when Ceci was 5 months. Guess who's 5 months?
