6:30 am...

6:30 pm...

Never to early or to late for dress-up at our house.

Time Honored Tradition...

TV with popcorn.

As Winter Drags On...

We've got to amuse ourselves somehow while we wait for all of the snow.

Lightsabers...

We would have said that they were lightsabers back in the day. Kids these day are all about the swords. I can't remember if I already told you what Sophie said the other day. "Watch out Ceci, that's my bag full of guns and bombs." I swear that my kids do not watch anything violent. We haven't figured out what Disney show she learned that one from.
"Dat's a chopper."

Stay!...

Doesn't Starbuck look pretty with her new even higher powered shock collar?

Wow...

Geez Mom, you could sell these! Ceci is so proud of her original new painting.

Nice Wheels...

As all little kids before them, the Monkeys washed their Big Wheels while I washed the car. It was actually cold enough that the water on the driveway froze before I was done. I guess that is the opposite of being hot enough to fry an egg.

Late This Afternoon...

Today would be considered a complete banner day for the monkeys. Really things could not have been better. It really helps when the sun comes out and things dry up a bit.

This Morning...

Last Night...

Sophie and Ceci could not have had more fun with Tea and L. They are definitely looking forward to their return visit next weekend.

Safety First...

The girls got to share a berry frozen drink from Costco for being such troopers today.
After almost a year of construction on "the room" I am proud to announce that we have a door. I also decided that a month of drywall dust was to much and treated myself to a new pair of safety glasses, gloves and masks. I feel better already.

So Fabulous...

If any of my neighbors witnessed the girls this morning I'm sure that they think I'm a total weirdo. I bribed the girls that they could wear their princess dresses in the car with a movie if they would let me take pictures of the beach. It worked but they first had an impromptu dance performance on the lawn.

Lookin' Good...

We took the girls for a walk looking like this tonight. As it was a beautiful day we managed to run into everyone we hadn't seen since September. I was grateful for the "bubble" covering the kids in the Bob.

Outdoor Monkeys...

It's easier to talk the Monkey's into outdoor play if I bribe them first. I think that they get their cold weather aversion from me. Seriously, I am so dreaming of a vacation.

Feeling Safe...

The girls ran to Poppa for safety yesterday evening. They knew that Daddy couldn't touch them if they were with Poppa.

Chop, Chop...

Yesterday I caught Sophie giving Ceci a haircut. Ceci held very still for Sophie. Luckily they were pretend scissors from their pet hospital. I hid all of the real scissors in case they get more adventurous in the future.

I Know...

they are not twins. But it just makes life so much easier to let them dress almost exactly alike. We will see how long this lasts.

Snow?...

Look at what we woke up to today. School started an hour late today which gave us plenty of time to drive in. The roads were totally clear which made the snow acceptable.

Remember When...

My first car had a license plate holder on it that said, "Don't Eat Yellow Snow." I loved that little car! Every time I see something like this I think of it and smile. Some of the best advice I ever got.

Snow Castle...

Sophie coordinated a snow castle for Tinkerbell and all of the other snow fairies. Unfortunately Starbuck decided to play the role of the bad dog and knocked it over. I finally put bad dog on the zip line and helped the girls finish their work.

Apres Snow...

The girls had hot chocolate and a nice warm bath. I'm hoping that they are worn out.

What We Did Today...

We lasted outside about 5 minutes before moving to the garage to ride tricycles. Sophie was back at school this morning while Ceci and I ran errands. I guess its time to get back to normal.
