Big Girls Now...

I've started letting Ceci and Sophie make breakfast in the morning. They are proud to do everything themselves. And I'm happy to have them do it even if they are eating the blueberries on the sly. We can work on perfect later.

It's Not Hot!...

Sophie refused to believe Ceci and I that her apple cider was not hot. She never took a drink.

An Outdoor Party In November!...

We went to a fabulous outdoor birthday party yesterday. Yes, you heard me right! We were outside in the middle of November and perfectly comfortable. We arrived in winter coats and quickly shed them for T-shirts. It was amazing!

We have been in a real breakfast rut. The girls are not wanting to eat anything I offer for breakfast. I've let them go hungry and that was a disaster. So the other day I made a "snacky" breakfast complete with bribes.The first day was crackers, hummus, peanut butter with apples to dip, yogurt and six mini marshmallows that could only be eaten after everything else was gone. The breakfast was a huge hit and has been everyday since. Each day has been a little different with hard boiled eggs and toast making appearances. I don't know how long it will last but at least they are eating a decent breakfast with only six mini marshmallows.

Down By The Bay...

While Sophie was at ballet on Monday we took Ceci down to the docks. It was a beautiful break in the weather. Unfortunately it was freezing! I only took a couple of pictures because it was so darn cold.

The Call It Pixie Hollow...

We watched the "Tinkerbell" movie last week. The girls had to create their own Pixie Hollow. I love when they play Fairies because they are quiet and try to hide in their little homes.

On a different note, we've had the island in the kitchen for well over six months and I have yet to move into it. I shoved a bunch of stuff into it when we had friends over. I finally cleaned it out last week and now the girls have taken over. At least someone is making good use of it.

Ceci Last Night...

Ants In Their Pants...

After three straight days of rain we are breaking out all of the games. This afternoon included the game "Ants In The Pants."

The Mild Alter Ego...

I found the best paints that do not stain, are vibrant and make Ceci happy. She has been painting anything and everything I give to her.

Notice I was mopping the floors around her.

It's Going Around...

Isn't this picture pathetic? Poor Sophie has caught the bug this week. In between bouts of looking like this she is up, active and feeling fine. I'm sure she will be better soon.

Ready To Go...

This is Sophie on her way to ballet. The conversation always goes like this, "Sophie please be good, don't talk in class, walk in the studio and if you don't get in trouble I'll bring you a cookie!" Wes and I live in fear of Sophie's ballet teacher.
