We picked blueberries this morning. Late this afternoon the girls went back outside to play with their "new" sticks from the berry field. Obviously they only got to keep the sticks for a couple of minutes before I caught them being naughty. The next time I looked over they were once again being naughty. This time Ceci wouldn't let Sophie come into the playhouse. Ceci sure can ham it up for the camera. Naughty little monkey!
We made it a point to get down to the beach this morning. With the crummy weather we've been enjoying Natalie and I decided to get going early. The beach was fairly quiet just the way we like it.
For Wes's Birthday we had a picnic at the park. Neither Wes or I had been to this park in years. The girls were in love with the toys and boardwalk. We are planning to visit again soon.
Last weekend the monkey girls got to hang out with Daddy, Uncle Colby and Uncle John while I went to Carrie's baby shower. I didn't take any pictures at the shower but Wes took a bunch with the girls. This sure brings back a lot of memories of the ol' homestead and my former stomping grounds. Doesn't it look like they had a good time?
The girls are absolutely horse-crazy these days. After the shower they got to go out and visit the horses. They were in heaven as you can see.
Just in case you didn't know, Wes and I subscribe to Mother Earth News, I make homemade bread often and I still wear my Birks. Now that I've put that out there let me tell you about dinner last night. We had beef from Marc, tomatoes from Natalie with zucchini and cucumbers from our friends Scott and Karrie. Just don't call us hippies because after all we still drive a SUV!
We went camping last weekend. It was wet and cold but we had a really great time. Funny thing, we were told that it had not rained there since May. It poured on Saturday. Poor B. family had to contend with weather that was about 40 degrees colder than at their home.
The girls have played outside all afternoon. As this picture shows they are done! Wes and I are packing for a little camping trip this weekend. Hopefully the rain will skip over us!
We've had two straight days of play that ended at this famous place! No complaints from us!
Sophie has decided that she loves to take pictures. I flippantly gave her the little camera (we use two different cameras) the other day and now she believes that it is really hers. Thank goodness that the camera is a digital. I'm trying to teach her how to focus and encourage her creativity.

2. My closet: there was a time not that long ago that everything was color coordinated. Sorry, Kim you can't show your friends what a freak I am anymore. I've lost the energy.

4. Favorite room: OK, I know that the outside might not count. Right now though it is the only place I want to be.
5. The Kitchen Sink: We just got back from another berry picking trip. Pretty successful!

8. What The Kids Are Doing Right Now: Sophie and Ceci are coloring.
9. Dream Vacation: Wes and I are talking about going to the Florida Keys for our anniversary. I'm not sure it is really my dream vacation but I like the idea none the less.
10. My Favorite Shoes: Funny thing about these. I haven't ever worn the two light brown ones. I love them so much though. The Dansko's are the best shoes ever.
