Hot Cuppa Chocolate...

Sophie is now sophisticated enough to enjoy Hot Chocolate in the morning while I drink my coffee. She is very proud to use a coffee mug and really enjoys the slightly warm Hot Chocolate.

We went to a nursery just up the road from us yesterday. They were clearing out their annuals for the season. Most of the plants were just a $1. The girls and I went crazy. Kind of silly but we love our flowers and have had a great growing season this year. Now if we can just get them potted up...

Tree Hugger...

Wes and I reached a compromise on camping this summer. We agreed to a one night stay at a park within a couple of hours of home. Last night we finally did it and it was great! We had a wonderful time and so did the girls. We got home early this afternoon and we all took a long nap.

The only thing that was not perfect was the rudeness of two fellow women campers last night. They were up wondering around lost at 3am. You could literally hear babies crying all over the campground as they were wandering around in and out of other people's campsites talking loudly and shining their flashlight into tents. They were obviously drunk and stoned. Luckily after an hour and a half some kind soul got up and escorted them back to their tent. I wonder when did State Parks change from a safe place to take your family to a haven for the party crowd?

Nothing Creepy About It...

We have an authentic Good Humor Ice Cream truck that comes through our neighborhood on sunny days. Today the girls heard it three blocks away. They waited as patiently as possible for it to arrive.

Children Of The Corn...

and their devil dog too. What a rotten day. The girls are coming off of a little summer cold and feeling their oats or should I say corn. I really hope that tomorrow is better.

Nice Ending...

After a rough start to the morning it turned into a beautiful day. The clouds finally disappeared about noon. The sun was a relief. After running errands all afternoon we had a Subway picnic on the beach for dinner.

Long Drive...

We have been "enjoying" the rain for the last week or so. Finally yesterday when the rain didn't let up for the parade we got in the car in search of better weather. We drove all day stopping at several parks along the way. Saturday turned into a really nice day.

Aren't They Naughty?...

Well, I already had to repaint the playhouse. They just made it official. The naughty little monkeys decided to add their own spark of color to the front. Unfortunately I'm not sure how I am going to get the stubborn blue off of their hands.

Always The Princess...

I'm beginning to wonder when Sophie will grow out of the princess stage. I don't really mind it but it does seem to going on a long time. She also won't wear pants very often. Usually only with a bribe.

As you can tell Ceci is doing her best to keep up but gets a little frustrated with all of the tool. She usually gives up the dress pretty quickly and finds something else to do.

Monday Finest...

We went for a bike ride last night. The girls loved the ride but Wes and I only made it for about 15 minutes. Apparently we need to get out more often.

Just Checking In...

We had a really full weekend. Everything culminated with a computer upgrade last night. I need to play around with the new stuff before I can bring pictures from the weekend. We did catch Ceci playing photographer yesterday with the Koala.

Beach Blanket Bingo...

We had a little neighborhood beach BBQ last night. It was the perfect weather. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Ice Cream, Frogs And Pool...

I have a knack for buying things in the miniature and expecting the full size. I guess that if I took the time to read a package or even look at the size of the package this wouldn't keep happening. Some things I have recently bought mini sized; ice cream cones the size of thimbles, several toys for Starbuck that would work for Barbie and a Kate Spade purse on Ebay that was only salvaged by letting the girls play with it. Someday I'll learn.

Africa Hot...

Ok, maybe not that hot. But still pretty darn warm. We went to buy fans tonight but everywhere was sold out... But we did find the snow shovels that weren't available when it snowed last winter. The girls cooled off in the pool before bed tonight. Wes and I are still outside eating Popsicles and drinking beer.
