Pumpkin Carving...

We finally found the time to carve our pumpkins. I forgot how messy it is. They turned out pretty well. Notice the trick or treat pumpkin. That was Wes's very cool contribution.

We are looking forward to tomorrow night. We have a Halloween party to go to before trick or treating. Sophia is aware of what is going on this year so we should have a good time. She knows that if she says trick or treat someone just might give her candy.

Our original plans for costumes didn't really pan out. Sophia was going to be Darth Vadar and Ceci Yoda. Sophia's costume arrived in a size 12 months and it would not fit. Much to Wes's disappointment Sophia is now going to be a Fairy Princess. Honestly its a little more her speed.

Pumpkin Patch & More...

We had a big day yesterday. We went to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time. Auntie Kimmie, Uncle Colby, Cousins Peyton and Isabella as well as Grandma and Poppa all went with us. Stoneyridge Farm had added a lot of things from the last time we went (3 years ago). The weather cooperated and we couldn't have asked for a better day.

The first picture is of us picking some apples. We actually ate one right off the tree.

Sophie wanted to go on the train but as soon as it was her turn she freaked out. Wes literally wedged himself in to ride with her. We had a pretty good laugh at poor Wes's expense. But it meant the world to Sophia.

We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch. So we convinced the girls to look for small pumpkins. They also had lots of squash and gords to pick.

Ceci checked out the Christmas Trees. I think we are going to go back to buy our tree from them as well this year.

See Me, Love Me...

Ceci rediscovered the mirror in our playroom again. She was kissing and licking her reflection for a solid 10 minutes.

Tonight we are having a pumpkin carving party with our neighbors. It's our turn to host so I've made two kinds of crockpot chili. Who knows if they will be edible or if it will turn into pizza night. Its nice that we have been doing this for such a long time that it is no longer stressful at all, just fun. Wes is taking the girls out for a couple of hours and I'm going to get to work cleaning.

I Hate Windchimes...

We experienced a pretty good storm last night. Wes and I were woken up last night by our crashing patio furniture and our lovely neighbors stupid windchimes at 3am. Needless to say I'm feeling a little grumpy this evening. Nothing a little wine won't eventually fix.

So My Kids Are Weird...

I'm beginning to see a theme here. They like to play with weird things and I laugh at them. Ceci found this old Victoria's Secret bag today. I watched the wheels spinning in her head as she checked it out and eventually ended up inside of it. Of course it didn't take to long before Sophie was on top of her trying to get in on the action. Hilarious I tell you!!!

Sand in Sophia's Drawers...

The girls and I spent the morning at the beach. We went with our neighbors. Natalie and I found out that the coffee shop by the beach takes Canadian money at par. We've been using up our old Canadian change buying mochas. Sure makes it nice to hang out at the beach, watch the kids and drink coffee at a discount.

For dinner I made a shepherd's pie for the first time. It was delicious. The only other time I've ever had it was years ago when I was visiting "a good friend" in Utah and her husband made it for us one night. I remember how much I loved it but always thought it would be to hard to make. Thanks to good ol'Martha showing me how this month now I can make it whenever I want.

Chopsticks and A Hatbox...

To me chopsticks and a hotbox are just chopsticks and a hatbox. To the girls they are call to parade complete with a drum circle finale. Yes my ears are ringing but at least its not the real thing.

We have had a little cabin fever today. Sophie has been determined since nap that we need to go buy her a mermaid tail. As tempting as that may be, we are just going to go for a nice long walk with the ipod.

Mommy's Glasses...

Sophia thought she was pretty clever today wearing my glasses. Ceci couldn't figure out what Sophia thought she was doing with my glasses.

Ice Cream...

Wes bribed the girls with ice cream tonight. We went out to dinner and did a few errands. They were super good.

We went back to our old stomping grounds in Lynden to the Nuthouse. We had so much fun with the girls peeling peanuts and throwing them on the ground.

Not Alone For Even One Minute...

Ceci is devastated if I leave her side. I went upstairs to get the camera tonight and she came charging after me yelling and crying the whole way. She definitely has the red-headed attitude. Sophia on the other hand has never been to concerned with where I am. I honestly don't know which I prefer.

Simple Pleasures...

We have thousands of dollars worth of toys. But of everything in the house the girls really love the simple things. They can play for hours with boxes or laundry baskets.

Man Down...

The laptop is down. Darn it!!! Wes is a little concerned because all of our pictures for the last year or so are stored on it. It amazes me that there are people out there that wreck computers just for fun. Pretty sad isn't it? I'm going to have Wes set this computer up so that we can post pictures again tomorrow night.

Speaking of Wes, he is on his third double today. Poor guy! I was feeling kind of bad for him so we took him dinner at the Port. Tomorrow should be a regular 8-4 day for him.

The girls are doing great. We have been just hanging around the house the last couple of days. It has been raining so hard today that we had to wear rubber boots and considered breaking out the canoe to just go across the street and visit our neighbors.

Fashion Sense...

I think that Ceci may have some fashion sense. She looked so cute today that I just had to share. She wore her little cowboy boots (her choice), fauxhawk complete with baby mullet and purple dress all day long. I was pretty impressed that she put it all together and pulled it off. Sophie got into the act also. She wore her cowboy boots with her new track suit and then jammies later on today. Soph told Ceci that she looked like a rock star. But than again Sophie thinks that she really is a rock star. So very funny.

I Co-Be, You Kimmie...

Sophie introduced the twins to one of her favorite games today. She likes to pretend to be one of the important people in her life and you are the other one. She definitely associates everyone with their counter-part. In this picture she is with Isabelle and she is Uncle Colby (because of the hat) and Isabelle is Auntie Kimmie. The details she remembers are amazing, don't you think?

Not Feeling So Great...

Sophie woke up with a little cold this morning. Ceci is still feeling pretty good so far. It made Sophia whine a little more than usual but nothing unmanageable. Hopefully this will pass quickly. Its kind of funny how with the first kid if there is a slight little sign of a cold they are wrapped up and kept in side. With the 2nd its no big deal just make sure that you stop at RiteAid to have plenty of Tylenol on hand. I hate to imagine how we would handle a 3rd child.

That's Doctor Ceci To You...

When Sophie and I got back from "plastics" class, we found Ceci playing Doctor to Sophie's dog. She had the whole Doctor routine down pat. Hmmm, how does Dr. Ceci sound?

We're Home...

The girls and I are home after a quick trip to the other side of the state. The first leg of our trip was Thursday to Ellensburg. Friday we went shopping to Yakima. Saturday we went to Spokane, Sunday back to Ellensburg. This morning was the big push home. We had a great trip but really can't wait for Grami and Poppies house to get finished. Duplexes are a little small for two active girls.

Wes and I are the godparents to one of Marc and Tracie's babies, Miss Olivia. We were honored and the girl's and I attended their baptism in Colbert. Wes couldn't make it because someone had to stay home and make some money. (You know, keep me in the life I've grown accustomed to.) My girls handled their first Catholic Mass pretty well. It sure did come back me to me fast. I was a little nervous that I might catch on fire or something but it went great!!! And now back to business as usual.

By the way, these are about the only pictures I got all weekend. My camera went dead and of course I forgot the charger. The first picture is of Marc, Tucker and Sophia picking plums. The second is of Ceci begging to go outside. The last picture is of the girls having a light breakfast in our hotel after my third sleepless night. (Yes, it was very early.)

Super Sophie...

The girls are enjoying our new play room in the garage. They were outside for quite awhile tonight playing. We went to Lowe's and bought a heater so that it will be nice and toasty this winter.

Wes is finally going back to work tomorrow evening. We got a lot accomplished around the house during his "vacation". I have mixed feelings about his return to work. A little excited to get back to normal (or as normal as it gets) and a little sad to be back to normal.

Give Peas A Chance...

Ceci has the funniest ideas. As you can tell from the picture above she loves to be one of the big girls. We had our neighbors over for the day today. They were wearing overalls so Sophie wore overalls and Ceci insisted that she wear overalls also. When the big girls watch their Dora so does Ceci although she could care less about TV. But the funniest thing that Ceci did today was put peas in her ear. She would pretend to eat the pea and then stretch her arms and try to sneak the peas into her ear. I know that it will not be funny tomorrow but it was hilarious to me tonight. Maybe it was so funny because Wes was so completely and totally grossed out.

Quiet Sunday...

Sunday was spent mostly just hanging around the house. I cleaned the house all morning and Wes ran errands with the girls. In the afternoon I played with the girls while Wes built a little greenhouse to put our plants in for the winter. We are thinking of converting half the garage into a hobbies/play area for the winter. We will still have enough room to park the car in there. If he keeps doing projects like this we aren't ever going to want to move.
