Little Taste of Spring...

We spent some time at the park this afternoon with our lovely neighbors. The weather was a bit chilly but absolutely beautiful. There are even tulips coming up around the 'hood. But I was informed that the Farmers Almanac is calling for a dumping of snow the end of February. I guess we will just take advantage of this weather as long as we can.

More Pics From The 'Burg...

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from the weekend at my parents. It was nice to see Auntie Janet, Teagan and Lochlan we also visited with Aunt Pat, Uncle John and Amanda. As you can tell most of the weekend was spent visiting, playing and of course hanging sheetrock.

Will Work For Beer...

We spent the weekend at my parent's house helping drywall the bonus room. As you can tell Dad really appreciated the help.

Eastern Washington rapidly lost its charm to me this weekend. Ellensburg had this crazy freezing fog and stuff called "hors frost". It turns everything white without snow. Pretty much I just froze my bum off. This was literally the only 15 minutes of sun we saw all weekend. You can see the fog rolling back in.

Dat Fonzie...

Ceci has this weird thing that she likes to do. She walks around with a little blanket saying BaBa. What this means is that she wants to be held like a baby and shushed. She really started this when she was sick last month. Now this might seem really sweet to all of you but in reality it makes my life really hard. The thing is Ceci will continue to scream and cry until she gets her way. So today I talked Sophie into holding her. It seemed to satisfy Ceci and made Soph feel good.

Buckets o'Fun...

I bought a couple of tubs at the grocery store yesterday. The girls are in love with them. They keep their toys in them, watch TV, eat snacks, store toys and so on. The girls are every bit in love with them as they were with the laundry baskets.

We are also are on our fifth round carpet battle. We should receive new carpet tomorrow. We cleared everything out of the downstairs tonight. I will definately be checking the carpet in the van tomorrow before they start anything.

Suckers...

Candy is a big deal at our house. (Chocolate doesn't count.) Sophie and Ceci were rewarded for a successful grocery run with suckers.

At the Car Wash...

It was all fun and games until Sophie squirted poor Emily in the face with the hose.

One Per Customer...

Looking at the pictures from today all I can think of is the line from A Christmas Story, "Show me how the piggies eat." Wes had a craving for dessert tonight so we ended up making cupcakes.

Carpet Saga...

Our long running carpet issues are going to be extended out another week and a half. When it was delivered today (after clearing out the house) it was the wrong carpet. Oh well, we can wait a little bit longer.

New Carpet (for free) Tomorrow...

We moved everything out of our living room, dining room and entry way today. I have to say I am kind of enjoying having the sofa in the kitchen. I am super excited to get the new carpet tomorrow. We are extremely grateful to Lynden Floor for taking care of our two-year old carpet issue.

After Nap...

Ceci loves her crib. She runs to corner where I can't reach her when she wakes up in the afternoon. She likes to play a little game of catch-me in her crib. It can get a little long for me. So I send in the reinforcements (Sophia) to help me talk her out of the corner.

And finally a moment of silence for Sophia's shoes. She blew them out playing with them this afternoon. They were well loved.

PS I don't think I will get her another pair. Those suckers were dangerous.

Tea For Two...

I broke out the Fiesta Tea Set yesterday. The girls loved playing with the real tea set. I've been saving it for them for a long time.

Hello Kitty...

Sophia has decided to revisit her band-aid fetish. This time around she is teaching Ceci how to wear one. The last time Sophia had a thing about band-aids she wore one everyday for a couple of months. Good thing I'm all stocked up.

Another Snow Day...

Still cold, still snow. We stayed inside today. I haven't even gotten the mail in a couple of days. We did talk our neighbors into coming over to play this afternoon. We were so excited to have the company. The girls and I can not wait for warmer weather. We need to get out!

The bottom picture is of our neighbor Emily's ballet slippers (on Sophia's feet). She is loaning them to Sophie so we don't have to buy any. I am so happy to not have to buy ballet slippers for Sophie. Thanks Emily!!! They are perfect.

A Very Cold Day...

Ceci had a hard night. She fell and got a fat lip and a bloody nose. Poor baby.

Today was absolutely frigid out. Starbuck did have a vet appointment this evening so we took her into Blaine. The roads are pretty icy and it is expected to last for a while longer.

Just a Light Dusting...

Whatever! We've got about 8 inches at this point. Today was supposed to be Sophie's first movie on the big screen. We were so excited to go but decided it wasn't a good idea once we got started. When we got back home we shoveled the driveway to keep it under control this time.

TuTu Cute...

I know you are all groaning right now. That was a terrible lead in. "Plastics" class has now become pre-ballet/gymnastics. They get to wear the little tutu's and learn a few positions before going into gymnastics. It is the perfect class for her.

The picture below is of Ceci yelling at me for leaving her line of vision for a minute. It is apparently a family trait as I hear her cousin Lucy is a Mama's girl also.

And Let The Games Begin...

We had a whirlwind weekend down south. I'm finally feeling a little bit rested this morning. The girls and I did have a great time visiting with Auntie Megan, Uncle Jason and the boys! We stayed with Auntie Kimmie and Uncle Colby. Uncle Colby even watched the girls so Auntie Kimmie and Colby's Mom and I could go to the Seattle Wedding Show unhindered. He did such a good job wearing the girls out that they took 3 hour naps for him.

Speaking of the wedding show, it was overwhelming. Kim tried on wedding dresses for the first time. She found a few that would work but not "the one". I think wedding planning will be kicking into high gear. And a note to Janet; I tried every cake sample they had and some of them twice. Remember how we did that for our weddings? I thought you would be disappointed in me if I didn't. And a Happy 16th (or something like that) Anniversary tomorrow by the way!!! Did you know that means Gene should give you silver holloware? I'm guessing you might want to skip that.
